Orchestra School FAQ

Who

Our students are musicians who have studied their instrument for a few years and are ready to learn to play in a large ensemble. We are also the right place for ‘former’ musicians, who want to get back to their instruments and make music in an orchestral setting. We are geared towards home school students and community musicians who care about learning and growing, not just perfoming. We welcome parents, retirees, college students and community members of all ages. Seasoned musicians wishing to build skills on a secondary instrument are also welcome.

What

The Orchestra School is a full orchestra (strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion and harp) playing at the high school/community orchestra level. Our curriculum and lesson plans are structured to foster year-over-year musical growth for all our students, from home schoolers to adult hobbyists. We are nurturing the community orchestra musicians of the future.

We meet weekly, September – May, during the school day. Our classes meet on Wednesdays, from Noon – 2 pm. Our next semester begins January 15th,  but we audition new members year round. Enroll today to secure your seat in the orchestra!
